Cornara-a land by the sea. A beautiful, shining, crysal palace lies along the coast. In this wonder lives Queen Aquamarine. Aquamarine is the powerful ruler of Cornara. She has kept her iron, but soft grip on her sea kingdom for the past score (twenty years). She will do most anything to keep peace in her kingdom. Though a goal she has been unable to reach she still tries whole heartidly. Ironically, the more she tries, the more peace slips out of her grasp. A land ravaged by civil war, Cornara is unstable.
The civil war has cost thousands of lives. Unable to invade the rebel base (because they quincidentally made their bases just over the border into the mountains of Draka Scarla as if to say 'Hey look at us. You cant get us." And then they laugh in the Queen's face.) With no jurisdiction ion Draca Scarla and the Elves busy with the Fallen, the rebels remain untouched. The only reasons rebels have died is because they come and and attack vilages and the army outpost. The Queen's palace has no defenses because all of the army is devoted to protectiong the border and outlying villages. It has no defenses, that is, except for the Stones of Seven.
The Stones of Seven are magical gems enchanted by a roaming pirate. The pirate was no ordinary pirate. First of all, the pirate was a girl. Not normal. Second, she was a magical goddess. She was destined to always sail the seas, only to come on land to buy provisions. She was absolutely a shining beauty on the outside, but she held a dark secret. On the inside she was terribly cursed. Her crew feared her durring stormy nights, for she became a terrible evil with no cure. Sshe became a mermaid. Yes, a shinning, sleek, beautiful mermaid...that lured sailors to their death by drowining. Her crew would tie her up so she could lure no one off the boat. A storm came while she was at Cornara. To protect the people of the capital, the sailor enchanted seven magical stones that were supposed to protect the capital, but instead of protecting the capital, it protected the whole country. After the night the queen of that time kept the stones, naming them the Stones of Seven, so her country would be protected.
With danger approaching the capital, the stones are vital to the protection, security and sanity of the whole country.
